Check the underneath whenever possible. Stab around with an awl or screwdriver, especially the frame, dog legs, jack points and structural sections (where body, axles, springs attach to the frame) if anything looks rusted, patched or suspicious, write it down.
Underneath got sprayed with paint work but notice a lot of surface rust inside frame. Did not see any rot in frame but surprised to see it had not been treated before. Lots of new rubber bushings and relatively dry other than the sending unit/oil pressure leaking, trans dry, rear diff dry.

Sway bar bushing out of place.
Note: If no lift was available at the time of the inspection any comments made are based on observations from a prone position. As it is impossible to inspect the underside of a vehicle thoroughly without a lift, DO NOT ASSUME THAT THERE ARE NO ISSUES in this area.

Paint was an older respray (complete) holding up well as far as gloss or appearance, needs a good polish.

There are some chips on the edges of the hood on both sides and out on front of the hood there are small pinhole pops in the skim coat that got painted over. Would never see them from 10 feet. There is a chip behind the hood where the windshield meets the cowl on the driver's side where the fender and hood meet.

There was a small quarter size area at the back of the pass side fender that is starting to bubble ever slightly.

I marked corrosion in trunk. It was dry and no issues noted in lower wells but there had been some work under the rear glass corners and partial shelf that I believe may have been replaced and there is some rust on the seams/ no rot or cancer, but not re-sprayed like the remainder of trunk.

Behind the rear bumper the seam at the apron and taillight panel is bent and straightened right in center and covered with seam sealer that would have been a newer repair. Can't say if rear panel was replaced or even worked on. It has been re-sprayed with texture, might be a hint. And welds or seams remain consistent on both drip channels.

The rear parcel shelf has been cut (this is a structural panel).

Front bumper is misaligned. It is right against the fender and has a gap on driver's side. Noted it to the seller.

Chrome is good except for vent window frames in both doors that are pitting slightly and rusting.

Both door profile gaskets are loose. Older rubber but still supple and pliable.

Keys: 1 for ignition and 1 for trunk. There were not any keys for door locks. There were door keys on the ring, but did not work.

Fluids were good, oil in between but running low 1 qt. After getting back and putting car on lift we found a fitting off block to oil sending unit was leaking. See pics of brass fitting on drivers' side of block.

Wipers inoperable they would try to move and stop or try to return if moved manually and stop.

There are a lot of duplicate pics underneath because we had a beautiful day outside and got things done. We went for our drive and pulled back into the shop/barn onto a lift and as soon as I started taking pics the power went off in the area. We were trying to backlight some with flashlights so the camera would even try to focus.

Drove out well, no drifting or pulling under load or braking, trans shifts smooth. Front tires did rub inner fender in full lock turn.
